Closed areas due to rifle range operations
The eastern section of Malabar Headland National Park will be closed on the following dates/times due to ANZAC Rifle Range operations: Every Saturday, 8am to 5pm. The 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, 8am to 5pm. Friday 2 October 2026, 8am to 5pm. Saturday 10 October 2026, 8am to 5pm. Monday 12 October 2026 to Friday 16 October 2026, 8am to 5pm. Monday 19 October 2026, 8am to 5pm. Monday 26 October 2026, 8am to 5pm. Wednesday 28 October 2026 to Friday 30 October 2026, 8am to 5pm. Monday 16 November 2026 to Friday 20 November 2026, 8am to 5pm. Monday 23 November 2026 to Friday 27 November 2026, 8am to 5pm. Monday 30 November 2026, 8am to 5pm. Thursday 21 to Monday 25 January 2027, 8am to 5pm. Do not enter the eastern section of the national park (including Boora Point walking track) when: Red flags are flying above the range The 'rifle range in use' warning signs are displayed at the park entry (South Maroubra Beach and Fishermans Road carpark). The western section of Malabar Headland National Park remains open during rifle range operations.
