    White Swamp Road closure – Koreelah Creek campground access via Killarney

    White Swamp Road is temporarily closed to through traffic between the Mount Lindesay Highway and Koreelah Creek campground until Tuesday 6 October 2026. Koreelah Creek campground remains accessible via Killarney, QLD. Visitors approaching from the Mount Lindesay Highway should continue west along the Mount Lindesay Highway to Legume, then follow Killarney Road > Spring Creek Road > Head Gate Road > White Swamp Road to access the campground. Koreelah Creek access detour via Legume/Head Gate Rd is dry-weather only and features steep, unsealed dirt tracks. Fully off-road caravans are permitted past Carr's Lookout warnings, but high-clearance 4WD vehicles and extreme caution are strongly recommended.
