Walking Tracks and All Trails closed due to Total Fire Ban
Due to the declaration of a Total Fire Ban in the Greater Sydney and Illawarra Local Government Areas, walking tracks and vehicle trails in this National Park are closed to public access on Monday 12th October 2026. Affected areas include: The Royal Coast Track Garawarra Farm All single-track mountain bike trails Every walking track in Royal National Park, Heathcote National Park, Garawarra SCA and Georges River National Park and the remote locations serviced by those tracks. All fire trails and vehicle trails in Royal National Park, Heathcote National Park, Garawarra SCA and Georges River National Park Major visitor precincts (Burrawang Reach, Fitzpatrick Park, Cattle Duffers Flat, Wattamolla, Bonnie Vale, Garie and Audley) are open to visitors, as are major public roads though Royal National Park.
