    Lyrebird Link track closed

    Lyrebird Link track closed. Temporary access to walks via a steep detour. The Lyrebird Link ramp to the walking tracks from the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre has been closed to address safety risks. Temporary access to the walks via a short steep detour (18 degrees or 1 in 3) is unsuitable for mobility impaired visitors and prams. Please ask at the information counter at The Glade for advice and directions. Penalties apply for non-compliance.     Notice of 1080 aerial baiting program

    NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing aerial baiting program from Monday 28th September 2026 to Saturday 3rd October 2026. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. The program will take place in the following NPWS reserves throughout Hastings and Macleay Area, Coffs Coast Area and Richmond River Area: • Bagul Waajaarr Nature Reserve • Bindarri National Park • Boonanghi Nature Reserve/State Conservation Area • Carrai National Park/State Conservation Area • Cascade National Park • Cottan-Bimbang National Park • Cunnawarra National Park • Dorrigo National Park • Jobs Mountain Nature Reserve • Mount Hyland Nature Reserve/State Conservation Area • Mount Seaview Nature Reserve • New England National Park • Ngambaa Nature Reserve • Pee Dee Nature Reserve • Richmond Range National Park • Serpentine Aboriginal Area • The Castles Nature Reserve • The Cells State Conservation Area • Werrikimbe National Park • Willi Willi National Park The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise the impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock. Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location.   • Wonga walk access change · NPWS

    Wonga walk access change

    Wonga Walk can be accessed via Glade Picnic Area and also via additional access track. This access track is a 2-minute walk from the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre, along Lyrebird Lane. The temporary access track is surfaced with non-slip rubber mat. Please note that the track is steep and uneven in sections, making it unsuitable for prams, wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
