NOTICE OF ONGOING 1080 PROGRAM
The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be continuing the ongoing pest control program using Meat Baits and Canid Pest Ejectors containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes in Black Andrew Nature Reserve. The program will be on going within Black Andrew NR between the 11th of September 2026 and the 11th of March 2027. The baiting location will be identifiable by signs. Please be reminded that domestic pets are not permitted on NPWS Estate. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
