    Pryor's Hut Temporary Closure

    Pryor's Hut is temporarily closed to ensure public safety while maintenance works are undertaken to remove asbestos. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. The duration of the closure is currently unknown while maintenance works are being planned and completed. This webpage will be updated when a reopening date is confirmed.     Notification of Ongoing 1080 Program

    NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting an ongoing baiting program from 1st September 2026 until 28th February 2027. The program will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs. The program will take place in: Brindabella National Park Bimberi Nature Reserve Wee Jasper Nature Reserve Oak Creek Nature Reserve Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
